East 17 have opened up about their former frontman Bryan Harvey’s drug addiction.

The lead singer was sacked from the teen band when he claimed that ecstasy was a “safe” drug in the late 90’s.

Talking to GBNews about their former bandmate, Terry Coldwell who is the only original member left in the band said: “We have good memories of the past.

“We were working seven days a week in close proximity to one another so you are bound to have little arguments.

Robbie Craig, who has since joined the band chimed in: “I think that you were all young, you were young boys.

“I think Bryan was a very good frontman. At the end of the day everyone makes mistakes.”
