Those travelling with Virgin Atlantic will have more options next year.

The airline will increase frequency of flights from the UK to sunny destinations.

They will be able to choose from more flights to Dubai, the Maldives and Barbados.

Its recently launched services to Dubai and the Maldives will increase to run daily in the 2024-2025 winter season.

Barbados will have flights twice a day from London Heathrow from October 27, 2024.

Flights from Manchester to Barbados will run four times a week next winter.

Daily Dubai services will start on October 26, 2024 and daily routes to the Maldives will begin on October 27, 2024.

The new routes will be available to buy from Saturday this week.

Chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic Juha Jarvinen said: “We’re excited to be whisking our customers away on more sunny breaks than ever next year, thanks to our expanding leisure portfolio.

“Our recent route launches to Dubai and the Maldives have already proved exceptionally popular and we’re pleased to offer more opportunities for our customers to reach these luxurious destinations in 2024 and 2025.

“We serve record number of Caribbean islands in 2024 with direct services from London Heathrow to Antigua, The Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, and Turks & Caicos.

“The introduction of twice daily flights from Heathrow to Barbados, alongside our four times a week service from Manchester, cement the island’s position as our most popular destination in the Caribbean.

“We know our customers love the island’s welcoming hospitality, warm climate and stunning resorts and can’t wait to fly a record number of holidaymakers to this incredible island next year.”

This comes as the airline expanded its UK to US services for summer 2024.

It will add more daily flights between London and New York and run 10 daily services with its joint Venture partner Delta.

It added a second daily flight to Boston, bringing it to a total of three daily flights with Delta.

Other airlines have recently expanded their service.

Jet2 adds more flights from eight UK airports to popular European holiday hotspots.
